| Before trouble shooting the "Low Thrust Detector
System".
Its usually more economical to send the
"black box" in for calibration and bench test. This
gives you a positive starting point and you know the system works
before your mechanic spends unnecessary time trouble shooting the
system. In most aircraft, the Thrust Detector "Black
Box" (6" x 3") is mounted under the instrument panel
within 3 ft. of the prop indicators. Trace the blue, yellow
& black prop indicator wires to find the "black box".
(Aerostar & Commander the box is mounted aft of the cabin.
