Dear Mr. Hall:

When I purchased and had your low thrust detector system installed on my 58P Barron, I had never anticipated using it, however, my first flight after the return home from the installation was one in which the LTDS paid for itself many times over.

In departing a 3800 foot strip at 150 feet, the upper deck pressure line blew off, reducing the power in the engine to approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of total estimated output. The quick notification of the LTDS turned a potential disaster into a minor incident. The cause of the problem was a simple 90 cent pressure clamp. I have since had all pressure clamps in the airplane replaced with screw-down type post clamps. It is beyond me how Beech could put such a flimsy retention device on such a high-pressure item, however, they did.

Thanking you again for your development of the LTDS, I remain

Sincerely yours,
